It's good to absorb the SO2 in high pH slurry environment,otherwise it's easy of precipitation of Ca2+ in low ph value, which are opposite each other. Therefore, in the limestone-gypsum wet desulfurization system, the pH value of the circulating slurry is an important parameter which will effect the performance of the desulfurization system. When the pH value is 6, the sulfur dioxide absorption effect is the best, but at this time, it's easy for scaling and clogging. The low pH value is beneficial to the oxidation of calcium sulfite, the solubility of limestone is increased, but the absorption of sulfur dioxide is inhibited, and the desulfurization efficiency is much reduced. When pH=4, the absorption of sulfur dioxide is almost impossible, and the absorption liquid is acidic, The equipment also will be corrosivedd. So BOQU R&D department do much test.The test results show that the increase of circulating slurry pH value is beneficial to the desulfurization rate. The limestone content in the slurry also increases; after the pH value of the circulating tank slurry is greater than 6.0, the limestone content in the slurry increases sharply, and the desulfurization rate decreases significantly after the pH value of the circulating tank slurry is less than 4.8; the combined circulating slurry pH value desulfurization rate and limestone The reasonable operating range of the pH value of the slurry in the circulating tank is 4.8-6.0.
