Accurate Chlorophyll Measurement
The measured principle of the BOQU digital online chlorophyll sensor is based on the fluorescence method. Here's how it works:
Excitation: The sensor emits monochromatic light at a specific wavelength, which is absorbed by chlorophyll A in the water.
Energy Absorption: Chlorophyll A absorbs the energy from the light and becomes excited.
Fluorescence Emission: After absorbing the energy, chlorophyll A releases part of that energy in the form of light at a different wavelength.
Measurement: The sensor detects the intensity of this emitted light (fluorescence), which is directly proportional to the concentration of chlorophyll A in the water.
This method allows for real-time, continuous monitoring of chlorophyll A in various water bodies.
