NNA-210-01 Digital Nitrate Nitrogen Sensor
Measuring Principle
NO3-N will be absorbed at 210 nm UV light. When the Spectrometer Nitrate sensor is working, the water sample flows through the slit. When the light from the light source in the sensor passes through the slit, part of the light is absorbed by the sample flowing in the slit, and the other light passes through the sample and reaches the other side of the sensor. Calculate the concentration of nitrate.

Ion-Selective Electrode (ISE)
- Principle: ISE sensors measure nitrate concentrations directly using a nitrate-selective membrane.
- Advantages: Simple to use, cost-effective, and relatively quick response time.
- Disadvantages: Can be affected by interference from other ions like chloride, and requires frequent calibration.
ISE Method: Nitrate sensors can be affected by high concentrations of other ions (e.g., chloride, sulfate). Make sure to account for these interferences either by using compensating sensors or through calibration adjustments.
Temperature Compensation
- Nitrate measurement is sensitive to temperature variations. Many sensors have built-in temperature compensation, but it’s important to ensure this feature is properly calibrated.
Data Integration and Monitoring
- Integrate the nitrate sensor with a real-time monitoring system for continuous data logging.
- Some systems allow remote access to data, enabling you to monitor trends and anomalies easily.
